Channel Sales Manager – Forecourt and bottom end trade

McNab’s is a fast growing FMCG company based in Parkwood, Johannesburg.We sell natural energy releasing and energy calming supplements into supermarkets, pharmacies, forecourts and independent stores.

We have an opening for a channel sales manager and this role will be focused on increasing the availability and visibility of our product lines in the forecourt channel.

This role has a basic salary of R18 – 20 000 with car, cellphone, petrol allowance and commission with a quarterly incentive structure and on target earnings of R35 000 per month.
We will expect you to be office bound for the first 3 months and then in the trade 80% of the time.

Responsibilities

Achieving your monthly unit and sales target.
Call on forecourts and undertake the sales and customer relations.
Manage forecourt agents nationally.
Manage key accounts and promotional grid at the oil companies achieve KPI’s and list new lines.
Undertake sales & gap analysis; draw up and implement monthly and annual sales plans.

Requirements

At least 5 years experience in a similar business and able to spend time away from home on country trips.
A team player – you will be joining an ambitious team that have ambitious goals.
Computer literate and able to follow a trade marketing & distribution process.
Proactive self starter with the ability and desire to deliver the end result.

This role has a basic salary of R12 – 18 000 with car, cellphone, petrol allowance and commission with a quarterly incentive structure and on target earnings of R25 000 per month.

Responsibilities:

Achieve your monthly unit and sales target.
In addition to sales you will be responsible for deliveries, merchandising and building the brand in the trade via van sales
You will be calling on Spar, PnP franchise stores, forecourts and OK Foods.
You will be calling on 15 – 18 stores a day with continuous cold calling to find new business opportunities.

Requirements:

At least 2 years sales experience in selling FMCG into franchise stores and store management experience will be preferable.

We will expect you to be office bound for the first 3 months and then in the trade 80% of the time accompanying Field Managers and understanding independent trade visits.

Responsibilities

Inspire and motivate Field Managers to achieve their monthly unit and sales target.
Manage the 8 steps to a call process followed by Field Managers.
Accompany all Field Managers in the trade within on 8 week cycle.
Undertake and implement gap analysis.
Hold weekly and monthly sales meetings
Compile and implement annual sales plan.
